Privacy Policy
CoachesGame is built for youth baseball coaches. We take the privacy of coaches, families, and especially children seriously. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What We Collect
- Account information: your email address and, optionally, your name and team name when you create an account.
- Team and player data: roster entries, practice plans, game notes, and player statistics. Players are tracked by jersey number, not full name. We do not require or encourage storing children's full names.
- Parent-uploaded media: photos and videos a parent chooses to share with their team, which stay private to that team until a coach approves them.
- Billing information: handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data: basic logs needed to keep the service running and secure.
How We Store It
Your data lives in a SQLite database on servers hosted by DigitalOcean. Access is restricted to the systems that run CoachesGame and the people who maintain it. Connections to the site are encrypted over HTTPS.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We have never sold user data and never will. We do not share your team's information with advertisers or data brokers. We use it only to provide and improve the service.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
CoachesGame is intended for use by adult coaches, not by children. Accounts are created and managed by coaches and parents — never by kids directly. Because players are identified by jersey number rather than full name, the platform is designed to minimize the personal information about children that is ever stored. If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, contact us and we will delete it.
Parent Media Privacy
Media a parent uploads is private to their team by default. A coach must approve content before it is visible to the team, and parents can request removal of their uploads at any time.
Your Choices
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and its associated data at any time by emailing privacy@coachesgame.com.
